I was reading an article about sports illustrated and how it got started. There was a quote from one of the models saying “it’s really fun. It’s all about selling a fantasy” and it angered me.
I don’t ever want to sell a fantasy.
I want to sell strength and courage.
These are the women we praise and adore. And for what? There is no talent in being pretty. We praise them for the things we IMAGINE they could do. This is one reason why society is so fucked up.
When my tumblr got hacked almost everyone got unfollowed looking to follow some more blogs around my age. Thanks!!
Whenever I see those fitness models in sports bras that show a lot of cleavage, my first thought is:
That bra is too small!!! Let them breathe!! What are you thinking?!?!
Then I cringe because I wore sports bras that were too small for too long and it was painful
(my boobs got bigger by a cup size within a month from b/c pills and I was too stubborn to buy new bras so soon after already buying like $300 worth earlier that year)
